East Van Brewery Tour
City Tour, 7 miles
Craft brewing has exploded over the last ten years in Vancouver, and East Vancouver has become a hot spot for these small, independent breweries, each offering a variety of options for beer lovers. This bicycle based brewery tour features some of our favourite stops, along with some places to grab coffee or food to fuel your journey. All tasting rooms allow children accompanied by an adult, and many have worked out deal with local food trucks, who will park outside and whose food can be brought inside. Disclaimer: Drink responsibly and ride safely!

route highlights:
A. Postmark Brewing 55 Dunlevy Avenue | postmarkbrewing.com | (604) 699-1988
This small brewery in the heart of historic railtown is the perfect place to start you tour. A place where beer and art comes together, Postmark is known for collaborations with local artist. Enjoy the backdrop of the North Shore mountains while sampling a taster of some great local beer.
B. Parallel 49 1950 Triumph St | parallel49brewing.com | (604) 558-2739
Offering one of Vancouver's largest variety of craft beers, including infusion blends, for notoriously cheap prices (for Vancouver), Parallel 49 is well-known throughout Vancouver and definitely worth the visit.
C. JJ Bean Powell 1904 Powell Street | www.jjbeancoffee.com | (604) 254-0161
Need a caffeine boost as your tour East Van's many great breweries? The Powell St JJ Bean is the flagship location of this Vancouver Coffee tradition. Arguably the best coffee in Vancouver according to these coffee snobs.
D. Bomber Brewing 1488 Adanac Street | www.bomberbrewing.com | (604) 428-7457
Conveniently located along one of Vancouver's busiest bikeways, this small brewery offers some of the hoppiest IPA's on the city. And while you're at it, fill up your tires at their 'Free Air' station!
E. Strange Fellows Brewing Company 1345 Clark Drive | strangefellowsbrewing.com | (604) 215-0092
Newer onto the craft beer scene, Strange Fellows is quickly becoming a favourite in Vancouver. Co-Owners Iain Hill and Aaron Jonckheere have over 20 years combined experience crafting great tasting beer and have created a unique and welcoming tasting room with something for every taste. We recommend the Bayard Farmhouse Saison!
F. St. Augustine's 2360 Commercial Drive | staugustinesvancouver.com | (604) 569-1911
By far an East Van institution, St. Augustine's offers fantastic food, TV's for sports fans, and a comprehensive ever-changing beer list featuring over 60 varieties of beer from craft breweries throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Kid-friendly, 'Augustine's' is our childrens' favourite neighbourhood restaurant. Try the poutine!
G. Brassneck Brewery 2148 Main Street | brassneck.ca | (604) 259-7686
Small but always popular, Brassneck is our favourite stop before heading to a soccer game or into downtown with friends. Offering a great selection of beers, including some tasty Wit's and Porters, this brewery certainly tops our list.
H. 33 Acres Brewing Company 15 West 8th Avenue | 33acresbrewing.com | (604) 620-4589
While technically landing just outside of East Vancouver, we couldn’t leave this gem of a brewery out. Offering not just beer but also nibbles, including waffles on the weekend, this establishment doesn't scream “craft brewery,” and is a nice change of scenery. Try their California Common for a tasty change from West Coast IPAs.
I. Earnest Ice Cream 1829 Quebec Street | earnesticecream.com | (604) 428-0697
Need something sweet to balance the hoppy IPAs? Earnest Ice Cream is the perfect stop for your sweet tooth. A craft ice cream establishment, they offer rotating flavours, along with fan favourites. We recommend the Salted Caramel!
J. Tap & Barrel 1 Athletes Way | www.tapandbarrel.com | (604) 685-2223
The first restaurant to grace Olympic Village, Tap and Barrel is always a popular stop. The glorious two level patio overlooks False Creek and downtown Vancouver, and is an ideal place to watch the sunset. As a bonus, they oer both craft beers and local VQA wines, not to mention a substantial kids menu for youngsters.
